Well, to say the least, I haven’t updated this blog in quite a few months. Towards the Holidays, things got pretty busy and I found myself trying to handle a lot more than I could.
Michael & I visited his family in California for about 3 weeks from December 17th to the 5th of January. We had such a blast with both sides of his family & I was happy to finally meet most of them.We even got together with my Aunt and her husband for lunch a little shopping one day (that was very cool)!
On Christmas day, however, I started feeling home-sick and missing my own family very much. I had never been away from family for a special holiday, and so I got into a saddened mood and had to leave everyone for a bit while I tried to control my emotions. I was so thankful for Michael that day - he helped me and stayed by my side throughout the home-sickness. It’s actually quite funny because now that I am back in Texas, I am missing Michael’s relatives in California!
So anyways, we are back safe & sound now, and Michael & I have started the Spring 2009 semester at North Lake College. The semester only started on the 20th of January, so we are still trying to go to bed at decent hours in order to wake up on time. I hope that I will be able to handle college courses, a writing certificate, and two jobs! It will be very hectic, but also very exciting. Wish me luck!
